PDR’s El Trovador Rosado medium strength cigar is akin to the Opus, but about half the price. It sports an Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper, bound with two Nicaraguan binders (including a Corojo), filled with Nicaraguan Ligero and Viso leaf.
The El Trovador gets its name from the French “troubadour,” which means “minstrel,” also an old Cuban brand of the same name that master blender Abe Flores came upon during a trip to Cuba. It is also the name of a nightclub in Los Angeles.
Balancing strength and flavor, the El Trovador Rosado contains notes of earth, coffee, and leather along with sweet floral hints. Available now at fine select tobacconists, including the Mason Cigar Manor, this excellent cigar by Abe Flores is sure to please!
